Low-merick
Life in 10,10,6,6,10
We at Thundersquee! can’t help but be indignant at the inequities of the poetic form when it comes to expressing the more low brow moments in life. So, to help even the field we offer you, no, no, not Lowku, but Low-merick. Because there are various ideas of what makes a limerick, we’ll make it easier (or more difficult, depending on how you look at it), and define the form’s syllables as 10,10,6,6,10. The 10 syllable lines should rhyme with each other and the 6 syllable lines should rhyme, and really, if it mostly fits into the limerick scheme, that’s all that really matters.
Ready? This round’s inspiration and last week’s winners after the jump.
