For those of you not in the know, Aaron Magruder is the creator of The Boondocks. The show stars Regina King as the voices of Huey and Riley, and she is amazing. Samuel L. Jackson has appeared on the show many times as a thug notwithstanding the fact that the character for which he’s providing voicework is white and rich. It is a hilarious show, and if you’re not watching, well, I think there might be something wrong with you.

I have never actually seen the cartoon. Is there like a DVD or something so that I can catch up? I should bring headphones to work so that I can watch this all day…

stopthemadness says:yep, it’s on DVD. i bet you could watch it on Netflix (if you subscribe). it’s not really a serial show, so you don’t need to start from the beginning. although the first season has some of my favorite episodes, including the trial of robert kelly and an episode where Bob Ross teaches Riley to be a more effective graffiti artist. oh and there’s one where they kidnap oprah. and one where MLK comes back and is shocked at how far the black community has sunk.
it’s basically brilliant. translates quite well from comic strip to television cartoon. if you have cartoon network, you can watch it on adult swim.
